Scott Anderle, Co-Chair
Scott Anderle has over two decades of law enforcement experience and currently serves as the Chief of Police for the Watchung Police Department. He holds a B.A. from Rutgers University and a Master of Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. A 3rd-degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor David Branch, he is also the co-founder of the NJ LEO Jiu Jitsu Foundation. He is a former avid Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor with notable achievements including IBJJF gold medals in the No-Gi Pan Ams, World Pro, and NY Open tournaments.
Matt Lechelt, Co-Chair
Matt began training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the early 2000s, around the same time he started his law enforcement career with a NJ Police Department. He first trained under Professor Ricardo Almeida, then Professor Billy Loftus before transitioning to Professor Jamal Patterson, under whom he earned his black belt in 2017. Matt was the visionary behind NJ LEO Jiu Jitsu and remains the quiet driving force pushing the organization forward.
Tim Hutson, Treasurer
Tim Hutson is a Lieutenant of Police in New Jersey and serves as team leader and training coordinator for his department’s SWAT Team. He is also President of Hutson Properties LLC, managing a portfolio of residential and commercial properties. Tim is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor Jamal Patterson, Tim continues his training at Allstar MMA and Bill Scott’s Shore BJJ.
Casey Annuzzi, Secretary
Casey Annuzzi has 13 years of service in law enforcement and over a decade of training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, where he holds the rank of black belt. He is a Detective with the Piscataway Township Police Department, the founder of the Piscataway Jiu Jitsu Club, and a coach at Oasis Jiu Jitsu. Casey is committed to promoting officer wellness, practical training, and community through the art of jiu jitsu.
Heather Glogolich
Heather Glogolich is a Captain in a NJ Police Department and is the President of NJ Women in Law Enforcement. Heather is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at SubForce in Lyndhurst.
Michele Jaker
Michele Jaker is an Equity Partner at MBI, a New Jersey based government relations and public affairs firm. Prior to joining MBI, she served as Director of Government Affairs at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, representing the state’s largest health insurer. Michele proudly holds three degrees from Rutgers University – an undergraduate degree from Douglass College, a master degree in public policy from the Bloustein School/Eagleton Institute and a law degree from Rutgers School of Law – Newark.
Jamal Patterson
Jamal Patterson is a 3rd-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Renzo Gracie, achieved wrestling success at Blair Academy and excelled as a two-sport athlete at Colgate University. His MMA journey includes a Black Belt in 2005, North American Abu Dhabi Trials victory, and membership in Renzo Gracie’s World Championship team. Training with boxing legends, he became a professional MMA standout, emphasizing technique over strength. Patterson’s diverse experiences highlight his expertise in martial arts for both real-world application and competitive fighting.
Brian J. Pfistner
Brian J. Pfistner is Chief Executive Officer at Capodagli Property Company, overseeing a $3B+ multifamily portfolio. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran and former Wall Street trader, he co-founded and exited a commercial real estate energy start-up before joining Capodagli. Brian holds a BBA from Temple, an MHRM from Rutgers, and the CCIM designation. Brian is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Instructor Jamal Patterson at AllStar Martial Arts in Union.
